1. Acceptance

By accessing or using TalonTrace ("the Service"), operated by TalonTrace ("we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TalonTrace is a developer talent discovery platform that helps hiring managers find engineering candidates by analyzing publicly available developer signals including GitHub contributions, open source packages, conference talks, and technical writing.

The Service is currently in pre-launch. Features, pricing, and availability are subject to change.

3. Waitlist

By joining the waitlist, you provide your email address to receive product updates and launch notifications. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing hello@talontrace.com.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to harass, stalk, or contact developers who have opted out.
• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-export data from the Service.
• Resell or redistribute candidate data obtained through the Service.
• Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.

5. Public Data

TalonTrace indexes publicly available developer data. We do not access private repositories, private profiles, or data behind authentication. Developers can request removal of their profile by contacting us at hello@talontrace.com.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by TalonTrace. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission.

Developer data displayed on the platform remains the intellectual property of its respective authors.

7. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of developer profiles or match scores. Hiring decisions are your responsibility.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TalonTrace shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to hiring decisions made based on information provided by the Service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
