1. What We Collect

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to operate TalonTrace.

  • Waitlist sign-up: your email address and the date you joined.
  • Usage data: basic analytics (page views, referrer) collected via privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics. No personal identifiers are stored.
  • Public developer data: when the product launches, TalonTrace will index publicly available information from sources like GitHub, npm, and PyPI. This is data that developers have chosen to make public.

2. How We Use It

  • To notify you about TalonTrace launch and product updates (waitlist emails only).
  • To build and improve developer profiles from publicly available data.
  • To operate, maintain, and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your email with third parties for marketing.

3. Public Data & Opt-Out

TalonTrace analyzes publicly available developer activity — the same information visible to anyone on GitHub, npm, or PyPI. We do not scrape private repositories, private profiles, or email addresses from git commits.

If you are a developer and want your public profile removed from TalonTrace, email hello@talontrace.com and we will remove it within 30 days.

4. Data Storage & Security

Waitlist data is stored in a hosted PostgreSQL database (Supabase) with encryption at rest. We use HTTPS for all data in transit. Access to production data is limited to the founding team.

5. Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies. We do not use third-party advertising pixels. Essential cookies may be used for basic site functionality only.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Vercel — hosting and deployment.
  • Supabase — database for waitlist storage.
  • Cloudflare — DNS.

Each operates under their own privacy policies.

7. Your Rights

You can request to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct or delete your data.
  • Opt out of any future communications.
